Celebs enjoy a foodie eve in Kolkata

Calorie count be damned! On Friday, city celebs embarked on a gastronomic adventure with the ample spread at the Times Food & Nightlife Awards 2011 at The Park.
While some headed towards the Italian counter, some were seen happily digging into the Bengali spread. The North Indian spread had quite a few takers and not far behind was Chinese cuisine. “Mone hochhe Bhooter Rajar bor peyechhi.It’s unbelievable to see such an amazing variety to chew on, under one roof,” said actor Ushasie. Savouring the moment as well as the food were Rajdeep, Sudarshan, Ananya, Sreelekha, Chaiti, Locket, Abir, Sagnik, Rudranil, Rahul and Priyanka. “I tend to forget that I am an actor or a model whenever I come to this bash. I keep changing plates throughout the evening. I take different fares on different plates,” said model-turnedactor Sam. After her fill of starters, model Pamela was seen stationed at the Italian counter. “I just love the pasta here,” she said, adding, “I want to have sushi now!” Prawn dishes seemed to be a hot favourite among the guests. “Ami agunti prawn kheyechhi. Kono hishab nei kota kheyechhi ekhon obdhi,” said actor Ritabhari. The dessert counter also saw people jostling for space while others decided to end with just a mishti paan.
